Chelsea is preparing for another eventful summer, with a focus on new signings, but several players are also set to leave Stamford Bridge. One of those players could be heading to Real Madrid.
According to Diario AS, Real Madrid plans to bring goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga back to the club. Currently on loan at Bournemouth, Kepa is seen as a perfect fit for the team if Real decides to make a move, especially in the event of a sale.
Chelsea is ready to part ways with Kepa this summer, but Real Madrid may need to act fast. Bournemouth is reportedly interested in securing the Spaniard on a permanent deal after his impressive loan performance this season.
For context, Kepa spent time on loan at Real Madrid last season, filling in for the injured Thibaut Courtois. During that period, he was the team’s first-choice keeper but eventually lost his spot to Andriy Lunin and returned to England.
Chelsea previously paid a record-breaking €80 million for Kepa, making him the most expensive goalkeeper in the world at the time.
