Nigeria international, Alex Iwobi has expressed his desire for Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson to join him at Fulham.
Nelson, 25, spent last season on loan at Fulham but was limited to just 12 appearances due to a hamstring injury sustained in December. During his time on the pitch, he scored twice and provided one assist.
Iwobi and Nelson were teammates in Arsenal’s youth setup, and the Nigerian midfielder revealed that the Fulham squad is eager for Nelson to return. Speaking to the Evening Standard, Iwobi said, “His style of play is very explosive. He is very sharp. I just hope he returns fit and healthy as soon as possible. It would be nice for him to come back to Fulham because we know the sort of player he is.”
He added with a laugh, “I can try to be an agent – but I’m not! A lot of people are pressuring him, trying to find out what is going on! Me, I’m not one of them!”
So far, Nelson has made 90 appearances for Arsenal, scoring eight goals and registering nine assists.
