Former Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere may soon embark on his coaching career outside the Arsenal system. According to The Athletic, Wilshere is in discussions with Norwich City to join the first-team coaching staff.
Jack is reportedly eager about the chance to work under head coach Johannes Thorup, and his connection with Ben Knapp, Norwich’s sporting director, has been instrumental in this potential move. Knapp, who served as Arsenal’s loan manager until October 2023, helped facilitate the introduction.
Wilshere is expected to replace Narcís Pèlach, who departed Norwich last month to become the manager of Stoke City.
Currently, Wilshere manages Arsenal’s U-18 team, while Norwich is positioned seventh in the Championship after nine rounds of matches.
