Former Arsenal and Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has been fined €135,000 by a court in his hometown of Starnberg for damaging a neighbor’s property by sawing through the roof of their garage with a chainsaw.

Reuters reports that prosecutors initially accused Lehmann of cutting through a roof beam in July 2022, with an original fine of €420,000. This amount was lowered following an appeal.

“Mr. Lehmann has taken responsibility and reached a settlement with his neighbor,” stated Lehmann’s lawyer, Florian Ufer, as reported by German media.
Ufer also noted that Lehmann had settled a separate charge concerning unpaid parking fees at Munich Airport.
