Joao Felix’s loan move from Chelsea to AC Milan has not lived up to expectations, with the Portuguese forward now facing criticism from both the media and his own teammates.
During Milan’s recent 1-2 loss to Napoli, a moment was captured on broadcast where former Manchester City defender Kyle Walker could be seen expressing his frustration with Felix as the players left the pitch at halftime. Walker was heard telling Felix, “Just pass the ball! No one here is Lionel Messi.”
Felix, who was substituted in the 55th minute of the match, has been under scrutiny for his individualistic playstyle, with many feeling that he attempts to do too much on his own rather than involving his teammates. In his 10 appearances for Milan so far, Felix has managed to score just one goal.
The loan spell has not been fruitful for Felix, and reports have surfaced about potential interest from clubs like Galatasaray and some Saudi Arabian teams in securing his services.
