According to SPORT, six Barcelona players face the possibility of not being registered for the upcoming LaLiga season, with Marcus Rashford among those hoping to be cleared to play for the Catalan club.
Rashford joined Barcelona this summer on a season-long loan from Manchester United, but the club’s ongoing financial challenges have complicated the registration of new signings.
Last season, Barcelona encountered similar issues with players Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, who initially received temporary licenses to play but ultimately had their registrations revoked by LaLiga during the January transfer window.
Despite these hurdles, Barcelona president Joan Laporta expressed optimism about the situation. Speaking to ESPN, he said, “It’s progressing well. We’re doing our job and we’re confident that we’ll be able to register everyone.”
