Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Ikorodu City have announced the signing of Liberian goalkeeper Derrick Julu.
Julu joins the Lagos-based club on a two-year deal from Watanga FC, the two-time Liberian First Division champions.
“We’re excited to sign Liberian national team goalie, Derrick Julu from 2x Liberian First Division Champions Watanga FC on a two years deal,” the club stated following his official unveiling.
The shot-stopper becomes the latest foreign player to join the NPFL and is expected to challenge for the club’s first-choice goalkeeper role.
Ikorodu City will begin their NPFL campaign with a clash against Kwara United in their opening fixture of the season.
