Luis Enrique continues to add to his impressive coaching trophy collection. Following PSG’s 1-0 victory over Angers in the 28th round of Ligue 1, the Spanish coach secured the championship early in the 2024/25 season, marking his second consecutive Ligue 1 title with the club.
The match’s only goal came from 19-year-old Desire Doue in the 55th minute, assisted by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
With 74 points, PSG is now out of reach for their competitors, with six rounds still remaining in the season. Their nearest rival, Monaco, trails by a substantial 24 points.
This is Enrique’s fifth trophy with PSG, which includes two league titles, two Super Cups, and a Coupe de France. Before joining PSG, he won nine major trophies with Barcelona, including the Champions League and La Liga, bringing his career total to 14 titles.
After the match, Luis Enrique shared his emotions:
“I am happy, satisfied, and very pleased. It’s time to thank all the fans, players, staff, and everyone at the club. This season has been amazing. We’ve already secured the title, and in my opinion, we truly deserved this trophy. There are still records to break, and it’s crucial to stay motivated to remain competitive in both the Champions League and Coupe de France.”
