Manchester United have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Turkish side Trabzonspor regarding a loan move for goalkeeper André Onana. However, the final decision now rests with the player himself.
Onana has made just one appearance this season, featuring in United’s Carabao Cup second-round defeat to Grimsby Town. Manager Ruben Amorim has so far opted for Altay Bayindir as his preferred choice in the Premier League.
The competition for the goalkeeping spot has further intensified following the club’s £18 million acquisition of Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp earlier this summer.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared the update on X (formerly Twitter), stating:
“Trabzonspor reach verbal agreement with Manchester United to sign André Onana on loan. Club to club verbal agreement in place and final decision now up to Onana. It’s only up to the goalkeeper.”
