Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca spoke about the performance of summer signing Jadon Sancho and clarified why the English winger was not included in the starting lineup for the past two matches.
He stated, “He didn’t play in the last two games due to my tactical decisions. Nothing more than that.”
Maresca added that Sancho has been performing well since joining the team, acknowledging that players can’t maintain the same level throughout the entire season. “He will play a lot of matches; he just needs to keep working hard,” the coach said, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
Recall: Chelsea loaned Sancho from Manchester United in August. In his first six matches with the club, the winger has recorded three assists.
