Early Thursday morning on April 3, Los Angeles hosted Inter Miami in the opening quarter-final match of the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
The game was tense but lacked real flair. Inter Miami had more possession, but the hosts created more dangerous chances. Despite the pressure, neither side could find the back of the net in the first half.
After the break, Los Angeles seized their opportunity and took the lead. In the 57th minute, Nathan Ordaz scored, putting the hosts up 1-0. Inter Miami tried to respond, but despite efforts from Messi, Suarez, Busquets, and Alba, they couldn’t break through.
In the end, Los Angeles won the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup quarter-finals 1-0. The return match will take place exactly one week later, on April 10, at Inter Miami’s home stadium.
