Milan has expressed dissatisfaction with the postponement of their match against Bologna, originally set for Saturday, October 26. This delay also means that the suspensions of Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders will now carry over to Milan’s upcoming match against Napoli on Tuesday.
Bologna’s mayor, Matteo Lepore, announced on Thursday that the Dall’Ara Stadium would not be able to host the match due to recent adverse weather conditions and forecasts of more rain over the weekend. While both clubs were open to playing the match in another city, Serie A rejected that proposal.
Milan’s chairman, Paolo Scaroni, described the decision as “incomprehensible.” The club is outraged and stunned by the postponement, arguing that conditions were favorable for the game to proceed as scheduled despite an already congested fixture list.
Reminder: The club holds the league and Bologna’s mayor responsible for the match not taking place on the planned date. The earliest possible rescheduled dates are now from late January to early February 2025.
