Chelsea has confirmed that striker Nicolas Jackson has signed a new long-term contract at Stamford Bridge.
The 23-year-old, who faced considerable criticism from rival fans, has been rewarded for his performance with a new deal extending his stay until 2033. Jackson, who scored 14 goals in his debut Premier League season and has added two more in his first three games under Enzo Maresca, will also receive an improved salary.
“I am feeling very good and am very happy to sign a new contract and stay at the club,” Jackson said. “It’s great to have the club’s confidence. I am working very hard and am thrilled to extend my contract for many years.”
Despite securing Jackson’s future, Chelsea remains interested in bolstering their strike force and continues to pursue Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. Although Osimhen ultimately joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan with a January break clause, Chelsea may revisit their interest before the transfer window reopens.
