Victor Osimhen has reaffirmed his commitment to Galatasaray, expressing his joy at returning to the Turkish Super Lig champions on a permanent deal.
The Nigerian striker, who impressed fans during his loan spell last season, completed a permanent move from Serie A champions Napoli earlier this month. Since rejoining the club, Osimhen has wasted no time in making an impact.
The 26-year-old was on the scoresheet in Galatasaray’s 3-1 win over Çaykur Rizespor at RAMS Park on Saturday night, marking his second goal in as many games.
Speaking to the club’s official website after the match, Osimhen said:
“It’s great to be back. Everyone wanted me and I’m finally in the place I call home. I wanted it so bad. I’ll be here for years to come.”
With his strong start to the season and deep connection with the supporters, Osimhen looks set to play a key role in Okan Buruk’s squad as they defend their Super Lig title.
