Paris FC has announced that significant changes are on the way for the club. In an official statement, the club revealed that Bernard Arnault’s family holding has entered exclusive negotiations to acquire a controlling stake in Paris FC.
Additionally, Austrian energy drink company Red Bull is set to become a minority shareholder in the club.
The statement noted: “The Arnault family, with the support of Red Bull, aims to help establish the club’s unique values and provide the necessary resources for its continued economic, civic, and sporting development. They are driven by a dual ambition: to sustainably position both the men’s and women’s teams among the elite of French football and in the hearts of Parisians.”
The new owners aim to secure promotion to Ligue 1 by next season and hope to see the club competing in European competitions within a few years.
Currently, Paris FC is sitting in first place in Ligue 2 after eight rounds of matches.
In October, it was also announced that the legendary Jürgen Klopp has taken on the role of head of football operations at Red Bull.
