Manchester United’s poor start to the season, lingering mid-table in the Premier League, has fueled increasing rumors about the potential dismissal of head coach Erik ten Hag. However, renowned insider Fabrizio Romano remains less convinced.
According to Romano, ten Hag’s resignation is not currently on the table, at least for now. The upcoming matches against Porto and Aston Villa are seen as crucial, and the club expects a response to recent setbacks in these games.
“It’s important to note that ten Hag is not in danger of being sacked soon, and his departure is not being discussed at the club. They still have faith in him and are standing by the manager,” Romano stated on the *Here We Go* podcast.
“But the next two games are key. Not only will the results be important, but the performance as well. Manchester United’s board and management want to see a reaction on the pitch.”
Earlier reports speculated on the potential financial impact of sacking ten Hag prematurely.
