Liverpool secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace in an away match during the seventh round of the Premier League.
However, the win was overshadowed by a significant setback for Arne Slot’s squad. Late in the game, first-choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker had to exit the pitch due to an injury.
Team captain Virgil van Dijk provided an update, stating that the situation doesn’t appear optimistic.
“Alisson’s injury doesn’t look good. It seems to be a hamstring issue, similar to the one he had before but had recovered from,” van Dijk said after the match.
Alisson has been with Liverpool since 2018 when the club acquired him from AS Roma for €62 million. During his time at the club, he has made 270 appearances across all competitions, scored one goal, conceded 239 goals, and kept 118 clean sheets.
