Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola shared his thoughts on the dramatic 2-2 draw against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium, where City secured a point with a stoppage-time equalizer.
“A lot happened during the game, and we’ll have time to analyze it later,” Guardiola said. “We’ve built a strong rivalry with Arsenal, similar to what we had with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, but now things have changed. You saw how we started; we took two seconds too long.
They have a lot of character, but so do we. There are still ninety-nine points left to play for—that’s football. We deserved the equalizer.
Despite injuries and interruptions, we rebuilt well because it’s not easy against a team like Arsenal. Scoring twice against them is no simple task,” Guardiola told Sky Sports.
After five rounds, Manchester City tops the Premier League with 13 points, while Arsenal sits in fourth with 11 points.
