Bayern Munich CEO Max Eberl addressed the possibility of extending Leroy Sané’s contract, which is set to expire next summer.
“At this moment, it’s crucial for Leroy Sané to regain his comfort and demonstrate his abilities on the pitch. We are in open communication with his agent, and we will announce any decision as soon as it’s made,” the executive stated, as reported by Florian Plettenberg.
Recent reports indicate that Sané has attracted interest from Manchester United, which could lead him to become a free agent in the summer of 2025. The “Red Devils” are keen to capitalize on this situation.
Sané played for Manchester City from 2016 to 2020 before transferring to Munich for €50 million. In the current season, the 28-year-old winger has scored one goal in four matches across all competitions.
