Al-Nassr hosted Qatari side Al-Sadd in the sixth round of the AFC Champions League, but the Saudi team fell short in a dramatic encounter.
Al-Sadd took the lead in the 53rd minute with a goal from Akram Afif. However, an own goal by Al-Sadd defender Romain Saïss in the 80th minute leveled the match.
Just as the game seemed destined to end in a draw, Al-Sadd was awarded a penalty deep into stoppage time. Adam Ounas converted from the spot, sealing a last-gasp 2–1 victory for the visitors.
Cristiano Ronaldo was absent from Al-Nassr’s lineup, with head coach Stefano Pioli opting to rest the Portuguese star.
Despite the loss, Al-Nassr remains in third place with 13 points, while Al-Sadd trails closely in fourth.
