Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has revealed that teammate Fermin Lopez had no intention of leaving the club this summer, despite reported interest from Chelsea.
The Premier League side were reportedly prepared to offer €50 million for the young midfielder during the recently closed transfer window. However, no deal was finalized, and Lopez remains with the La Liga champions for the new season.
“We were joking with Fermín about moving to England… but he’s happy at Barcelona. No one wants to leave,” Yamal told TVE.
“We asked him about that bid from England, but Fermín said he’s happy here and had no plans to leave.”
