Worlds collided at East Lake Golf Club as 12 of the top golf content creators went head-to-head for the second consecutive year—just before the PGA TOUR’s top 30 players prepared to battle over 72 holes for the FedExCup crown.
On a steamy, humid day in Atlanta that gave way to a sudden downpour, Brad Dalke kept his composure under pressure to win the fourth edition of the Creator Classic. Dalke edged out Sean Walsh, Luke Kwon, and Micah Morris in a tense playoff, finishing strong despite the monsoon-like conditions.
“Feels awesome to win; I haven’t taken home an individual golf tournament in a while,” Dalke said after his victory. “The nerves hit me down the stretch, but I’m proud of how I handled the pressure and made that winning putt at East Lake.”
The event’s atmosphere was electric long before the back nine showdown. U.S. Open champion J.J. Spaun practiced under the scorching heat, but the real buzz came from Luke Kwon, the inaugural Creator Classic champ, drawing crowds eager for photos and autographs. Even stars like Hideki Matsuyama found themselves overshadowed by the large crews following the content creators, capturing every exciting moment.
As the competition began, East Lake’s unforgiving course showed no mercy. Chris “Soly” Solomon from No Laying Up, carrying the legendary Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan as his caddie, stumbled early with a double bogey and two bogeys but ended on a high note with a stunning “Instagram highlight” birdie that left commentators buzzing.
Tisha Alyn, motivated by Golfbet’s pre-tournament rankings, delivered an early highlight with a birdie on the par-4 12th, keeping herself in contention. However, a costly double bogey on 14 and a bogey on the final hole left her just one shot shy of the playoff.
Garrett Clark of Good Good nearly aced the challenging par-3 15th, nearly holing his approach shot, but he, too, missed the playoff by a single stroke after Micah Morris secured the last spot with a clutch par.
Dalke, however, was in a league of his own. His nine-hole score of 2-under set a new record for the event, earning praise from on-course commentator Dan Rapaport, who compared his powerful tee shots to those of TOUR pros like Cameron Young and described them as “Tiger-like missiles.”
The Oklahoma national champion and U.S. Amateur runner-up maintained his momentum in the playoff, executing a gutsy up-and-down on the final hole to defeat Walsh just as the rainstorm broke over East Lake, clinching the $100,000 prize.
The Creator Classic series, sponsored by YouTube, is broadcast on the PGA TOUR’s YouTube channel and other media platforms, bringing a fresh, exciting angle to golf entertainment.
