After a shaky start with bogeys on his first three holes, South Africa’s Thriston Lawrence bounced back spectacularly to shoot a 4-under 66 and claim victory at the European Masters on Sunday. This win marks his fifth career title on the DP World Tour.
Lawrence finished two strokes ahead of a trio of challengers—Matt Wallace (67), Sami Valimaki (65), and Rasmus Højgaard (62).
Matt Fitzpatrick, aiming to earn a captain’s pick from Luke Donald for Europe’s Ryder Cup team alongside Højgaard, stood alone in fifth place after a solid 67, just one shot behind the leaders.
Lawrence steadied his round with a remarkable eagle putt from 20 feet on the par-4 sixth hole after driving the green, followed by five birdies at the scenic Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club. His previous win came at the BMW International Open in June 2023.
