Alison Smisdom of UAlbany field hockey has been named the America East Offensive Player of the Week, as announced on Tuesday.
This marks the fourth consecutive week that the senior has earned this honor. Leading the Great Danes through a one-game weekend, Smisdom played a pivotal role in a 2-0 shutout against UC Davis, scoring the first goal and assisting on the second.
With this recognition, Smisdom has now earned her 14th career league weekly award and her seventh as AE Offensive Player of the Week. This accolade also represents the team’s fifth weekly award of the season.
UAlbany will continue its home schedule this weekend, hosting UMass Lowell on September 27 and Liberty on September 29.
