NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly shared with The Athletic that planning for the event is still in its early stages due to the evolving situation. Much will hinge on the international community’s stance on Russia’s involvement in the games.
Quote: “Many assume that a decision has been made unless significant changes occur. Russian teams were barred from the 2024 Olympics, differing from previous models. Therefore, I expect this rule to remain in place,” stated the NHL commissioner.
