Barcelona’s central defender Andreas Christensen has been sidelined for much of the current season due to injuries, but his return to action is now on the horizon.
According to Diario Sport, the Danish defender is set to rejoin team training next week.
Recently, Christensen has been following an individual training program as he worked his way back to full fitness.
His return is a significant boost for Barcelona, as he can step into the defensive midfield role and replace the injured Marc Casado.
In other news, it was announced today that La Liga has rejected Barcelona’s appeal concerning the scheduling of their match against Osasuna on March 27.
