Roma captain Paulo Dybala’s season has come to an end due to a hip injury sustained during the Serie A match against Cagliari on March 16.
The club issued a statement confirming that the Argentine midfielder successfully underwent surgery in London today. Dybala will begin his rehabilitation in the coming days at Roma’s training facility.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Dybala plans to be at the Stadio Olimpico to support his teammates during their crucial match against Juventus on April 6.
The 29-year-old was diagnosed with a semitendinosus tendon injury in his left leg, and surgery was deemed necessary to prevent any future issues.
As a result, Dybala’s season is over, but he is expected to return to training in the summer.
This season, Dybala has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 36 appearances for Roma across all competitions.
