Erling Haaland, Manchester City’s star forward, suffered an ankle injury during the FA Cup quarter-final match against Bournemouth, forcing him to leave the stadium in a protective boot and on crutches. A video of the Norwegian walking out of the stadium was shared on TikTok.
The injury required Haaland to wear a protective boot, and as a result, he was unable to drive his £350,000 Aston Martin DBX 707 back to Manchester. Instead, a club staff member had to retrieve the car from the parking lot and drive it back for him.
Despite the injury, Haaland had already made an impact on the game, helping his team secure a 1-2 victory over Bournemouth. This win sent Manchester City through to the FA Cup semi-finals, where they will face Nottingham Forest at the end of April.
It’s also worth noting that the FA Cup is the only remaining competition in which Manchester City still has a chance to win a trophy this season.
