On the night of Monday, April 28, the Milwaukee Bucks faced the Indiana Pacers in an NBA playoff game. Unfortunately, the Bucks suffered a loss and were dealt a major blow with the injury of a key player.
During the first quarter, Damian Lillard awkwardly twisted his ankle and was forced to leave the game. He couldn’t walk off the court on his own. Preliminary reports from ESPN suggest an Achilles tendon injury, and Lillard will undergo an MRI, though there are concerns it could be a tear.
“It’s a tough situation, honestly. A clot, and now the Achilles… He’s just a great guy, both as a teammate and as a father. No one deserves this,” said Bucks coach Doc Rivers.
At this point, the Bucks trail the series 1-3, with the next game scheduled for Wednesday night, April 30. It could be the final game of the series.
