Inter Milan has officially announced that midfielder Nicolo Barella will be sidelined due to an injury.
The club confirmed that Barella underwent an MRI scan on Thursday morning, which identified an adductor muscle injury. As a result, the Italian midfielder will miss the Coppa Italia match against Udinese.
According to Gazzetta, Barella is also doubtful for Inter’s upcoming Serie A fixture against Como on December 23, as the club monitors his recovery process.
Barella has been a key player for Inter this season, contributing three goals and two assists in 17 appearances across all competitions. The 26-year-old remains under contract at San Siro until June 2029, underscoring his importance to the team’s long-term plans.
