On the evening of March 24 and into the night of March 25, the round of 16 matches at the Miami Open women’s tennis tournament took place, and by the end of the day, all the quarter-finalists were confirmed.

Details: World number one Aryna Sabalenka defeated Danielle Collins 2-0, Zheng Qinwen triumphed over Emma Krueger, Jasmine Paolini advanced past Naomi Osaka, Emma Raducanu ousted Amanda Anisimova, Jessica Pegula won against Marta Kostyuk, and Elina Svitolina was defeated by Iga Swiatek.

In a surprising turn, Paula Badosa Gilbert had to retire due to a back injury sustained in her previous match, granting the 140th-ranked Alexandra Eala from the Philippines a spot in the quarter-finals.

The biggest upset of the day came when American Coco Gauff was knocked out by Polish player Magda Linette (ranked 34th), losing in straight sets 4-6, 4-6.
