English Championship side Blackburn Rovers have announced the signing of Nigerian defender David Odogun. The club confirmed the move via an official statement on their website.
Odogun has signed a scholarship contract and will join Blackburn’s U18 squad ahead of the upcoming season. The young defender arrives after spending the past five years in the academy system at Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
In a related development, promising centre-back Silver Obinna Eze has opted to remain at Blackburn Rovers despite interest from several Italian clubs. The Nigerian-eligible defender has impressed since joining the club on schoolboy terms from Accrington Stanley in November 2024.
The retention of Eze and the addition of Odogun highlight Blackburn’s continued investment in youth development as they prepare for the new season.
