Manchester City defender Yan Couto has impressed Borussia Dortmund just two months into his loan, prompting the German club to make his move permanent.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Dortmund has exercised their option to buy the 22-year-old Brazilian. The transfer will cost the club up to €30 million.
Couto joined Manchester City in July 2020 from Brazil’s Coritiba but never played under Pep Guardiola. Instead, he spent several seasons on loan, including three with Girona and one with Braga in Portugal. Recently, Couto’s girlfriend gained attention on social media due to an amusing online incident.
