AS Monaco have responded to growing speculation regarding the future of Ansu Fati. According to Get Football News France, club CEO Thiago Scuro has not ruled out the possibility of buying out the 22-year-old Spaniard’s contract once his loan from Barcelona ends.
Speaking to the media, Scuro emphasized that no decision has been made yet, but Monaco are keeping their options open:
“This is not a topic for us right now. We just want to create all the conditions for Fati to continue getting game time and remain an important and consistent player for Monaco. The business side is not relevant at the moment, but when the time comes, we will make a decision. Monaco is protected in this situation by the agreement we have with the player and with Barcelona. Our goal now is for Fati to play effectively and consistently,” Scuro stated.
Fati, a Barcelona academy graduate, joined Monaco on loan this summer with an option to buy. Since arriving, he has made 5 appearances, scoring 6 goals, showcasing impressive early form.
According to Transfermarkt, Fati’s current market value is estimated at €10 million.
