Manchester United’s transfer policy has come under scrutiny, raising concerns about both incoming and outgoing player movements, particularly regarding player sales.
Former Lazio and West Ham forward Paolo Di Canio expressed disbelief at Manchester United’s decision to allow Scott McTominay to join Napoli, going so far as to call for the “arrest” of the club’s management.
“I would go to Manchester United to arrest all of those directors. How could you let McTominay go?” Di Canio remarked in an interview with Il Mattino.
Before McTominay’s departure became official, Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag indicated that selling the Scot was a necessary move to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, with the midfielder’s status as a homegrown player contributing to this decision.
