Lukas Podolski, the 39-year-old German footballer, is continuing his career in Poland and is currently in talks with a new club.
According to insider Florian Plettenberg, Podolski has no plans to retire and is on the verge of signing with a new team. While final details are still being negotiated, the player has already given his verbal agreement, and an official announcement is expected soon.
Podolski has been playing in Poland for the past few seasons. He joined Górnik Zabrze on July 6, 2021, signing a contract until the summer of 2022, and later extended his deal until 2025 on May 19, 2023.
In a unique twist, Podolski has also officially submitted a bid to purchase the club he currently plays for. It is an extremely rare occurrence in football for an active player to express interest in buying the team they play for.
