Saudi Arabian clubs are intensifying their efforts to acquire star players, and Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has become a target for Al-Ahli Jeddah.
Following his recent divorce from Annie Kilner, Walker has been contemplating a departure from Manchester. He had initially reached a verbal agreement to join Bayern Munich but ultimately chose to stay close to his children instead.
Now, Al-Ahli has shown interest in signing Walker and is willing to pay £20 million to buy out his contract, which runs until 2026. According to The Sun, the defender is considering a potential move next summer, although he remains open to continuing at Manchester City.
If Walker does join Al-Ahli, he would become the club’s fifth major signing, following the additions of Ivan Toney, Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino, and Édouard Mendy.
Walker has been with Manchester City since 2017, when he transferred from Tottenham Hotspur for €52.7 million. During his tenure, he has secured six Premier League titles and one UEFA Champions League trophy.
