Italian coach Vincenzo Montella, who has been active in Turkish football for nearly three years, has garnered interest from a top English club due to his successes as the head coach of Turkey’s national team.

According to Turkish outlet A Spor, Montella is reportedly among the candidates to replace Erik ten Hag as the head coach of Manchester United. It is believed that the Red Devils’ executives have already met with the Italian manager.

If Montella takes on the role at Manchester United, it would mark the fourth country in his coaching career. In addition to his time in Turkey, where he previously managed Adana Demirspor, the 50-year-old has led several clubs in Italy, including Roma, Milan, and Fiorentina, as well as a stint in Spain with Sevilla during the 2017/2018 season. However, for now, ten Hag’s position remains secure.
