Moroccan winger Othmane Maamma has caught the attention of European giants Real Madrid following his standout performances at the U20 World Cup in Chile.
The 20-year-old, who was named the tournament’s best player and helped Morocco clinch the title, is now firmly on the radar of top scouts across Europe. According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Real Madrid were particularly impressed by Maamma’s display and are set to monitor his progress closely at Watford this season.
Maamma contributed one goal and four assists during the tournament, showcasing his pace, power, and dribbling flair. He played a pivotal role alongside teammates Yassine Gessime and Yassir Zabiri in Morocco’s historic campaign.
Tutto Mercato describes Maamma as “a rising star ready to make football history,” suggesting he could eventually follow in the footsteps of legends like Cristiano Ronaldo.
