In the summer of 2024, forward Victor Osimhen came close to joining Al-Ahli, but the deal fell through at the last moment. Despite this setback, Osimhen is still keen on playing in Saudi Arabia.
According to insider Ben Jacobs, Osimhen is likely to make a move to a club in the Saudi Professional League, with several clubs, including Al-Qadsia, showing interest in the Nigerian forward.
Fabrizio Romano clarified that the deal falling through last summer was due to Napoli, not the player. Osimhen had been eager to join Al-Ahli.
Recently, we reported that Osimhen is in excellent form, having scored in six of his last seven matches. Over these six games, including appearances for the national team, he has netted 11 goals.
In total, he has scored 28 goals in 32 matches for Galatasaray, and including national team appearances, this latest goal brings his total to 33 goals this season. A remarkable run for the 26-year-old forward.
In other news, Juventus has already received a preliminary agreement from Osimhen. The forward is interested in moving to the Bianconeri, and Napoli plans to sell him in the summer, with several top European clubs competing for his signature.
