Manchester United has identified Victor Osimhen as a key target for the summer transfer window, but they face competition from a Premier League rival for the Nigerian striker’s signature.
According to TEAMtalk, Nottingham Forest is also pursuing Osimhen, as the club looks to bolster its attack ahead of next season’s Champions League campaign. However, this move is contingent on Forest finishing in the top five of the Premier League this season.
Forest’s owner, Evangelos Marinakis, has expressed a strong desire to bring in a world-class forward to strengthen Nuno Espírito Santo’s squad for next season. The club is also interested in Viktor Gyökeres, though the striker is reportedly not keen on the move.
Even if Nottingham Forest secures Champions League qualification, they may face challenges in signing a high-profile forward, but they are determined to press ahead with their efforts.
