The talented Fenerbahçe defender Yusuf Akcicek has attracted interest from several top clubs across Europe.
The 19-year-old, who made his debut for the Turkish national team on Sunday, is reportedly on the radar of both Manchester United and Tottenham. However, Premier League clubs will face strong competition in the pursuit of the rising star.
According to the Turkish outlet Fanatik, Bayern Munich, Napoli, Atletico Madrid, and RB Leipzig have also expressed interest in the central defender.
Despite the growing attention, Fenerbahçe intends to hold on to Akcicek, as the Super Lig side is in advanced talks to secure him with a long-term contract, likely lasting until at least 2030. However, the club’s management would be open to negotiations if a substantial offer is made.
This season, Akcicek has featured in 15 matches for Fenerbahçe, playing under the guidance of José Mourinho.
As a reminder, it was previously reported that Tottenham plans to compete with Manchester United for the signature of Viktor Gyökeres.
