Bayern Munich may be at risk of losing one of their defensive pillars. According to Cadena SER, Real Madrid have identified Dayot Upamecano as a top priority for the winter transfer window.
The 26-year-old French international is reportedly facing contract negotiation issues with Bayern, and Real Madrid are looking to take advantage of the situation. The Spanish giants are said to be preparing an offer of around €20 million, with Upamecano’s current deal set to expire next summer.
Initially, Real Madrid also considered Ibrahima Konaté of Liverpool as an option to strengthen their defense. However, after failing to secure his signature during the summer, the club has now shifted its full focus to Upamecano.
So far this season, Upamecano has made 8 appearances for Bayern Munich. His current market value is estimated at €60 million, according to Transfermarkt.
