Despite a strong season in Ligue 1, Nigerian winger Moses Simon is expected to leave FC Nantes at the end of the current campaign.
Consistent Performances, Uncertain Future
Since joining FC Nantes in 2020, Moses Simon has been a reliable contributor. This season in Ligue 1, he has registered seven goals and nine assists. However, with no contract extension talks initiated by the club, his future remains uncertain.
Interest from Premier League and European Giants
Simon’s situation has caught the attention of clubs across Europe. Premier League side Everton are reportedly leading the race, having sent scouts to watch him and received initial approval from Simon’s camp. AS Roma is also closely monitoring the winger, while Ligue 1 rivals Olympique de Marseille and OGC Nice are on standby.
Turkish giants Besiktas and Trabzonspor are said to be keeping a close eye on him as well, highlighting Simon’s strong market appeal.
Nantes Set Their Price
Although Simon’s contract with Nantes runs until June 2026, the club is reportedly open to selling him this summer to avoid a decrease in value. FC Nantes are said to be asking for between €10 million and €15 million for the Super Eagles star—an achievable fee for interested parties. Simon was originally signed from Levante for €5 million and is currently valued at €12 million by Transfermarkt.
