Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie has officially confirmed its participation in the FIVB Men’s Club World Championship 2025, taking place in Belém, Brazil, from December 16 to 21. The announcement marks the return of a Polish club to the tournament for the first time since 2018.
The championship will feature eight teams from across the globe, divided into two groups. Warta Zawiercie has been drawn into Group A, where they will face Brazilian sides Volei Renata Campinas and Praia Clube, as well as Al-Rayyan Sports Club from Qatar.
Club president Kryspin Baran highlighted the significance of the tournament for both the club and Polish volleyball: “Participating in the Club World Championship is an opportunity to promote our club and Polish volleyball while gaining experience against top teams.”
The last Polish teams to appear at the event were PGE Skra Bełchatów and Asseco Resovia Rzeszów in 2018, making Warta Zawiercie’s participation a major step in returning Poland to the international club volleyball stage.
