Polish volleyball fans have reason to celebrate—Bartosz Kurek is officially back. Head coach Nikola Grbić has announced his 14-player roster for the upcoming FIVB Men’s World Championship in the Philippines, with the veteran opposite making a highly anticipated return. He will be joined by standout middle blocker Norbert Huber as the team’s leaders on the court.
Before the tournament kicks off, Poland will make its final preparations at the 22nd Hubert Wagner Memorial. The World Championship is scheduled to run from September 12 to 28.
Drawn into Group B, Poland will open the competition against Romania, Qatar, and the Netherlands. Only the top two teams from each group will advance to the next stage, where the Polish team may face opponents such as Japan, Canada, Turkey, or Libya.
