After a challenging start to the 2025/26 Women’s Volleyball Superliga, Batavo Mackenzie finally tasted victory, dominating Renasce Sorocaba 3–0 at home in Belo Horizonte. The set scores read 25-7, 25-11, and 25-13, marking a resounding statement from Mackenzie after losses to Gerdau Minas and Sesi Bauru in their opening matches.
The home side excelled across the board, recording 39 attack points, 10 blocks, and 4 aces, while committing just 10 errors. Setter Rosely Evaristo, known as Rose, orchestrated the game brilliantly and was awarded the Troféu VivaVôlei for her standout performance.
Top scorers for Mackenzie included Carla Santos with 16 points, Kimberly Gomes with 13, and Saraelen Lima with 8, while Camilly Salomé led Sorocaba with 7 points.
For newly promoted Sorocaba, the wait for a first win continues, as they struggled to match Mackenzie’s intensity on the court.
