Dynamo-LO secured a hard-fought 3–1 victory over Kuzbass Kemerovo in a tense and emotional match packed with aces, blocks, and dramatic comebacks.
The hosts started strongly, with Denis Biryukov delivering two aces to give Dynamo an 8:4 lead. However, Ilya Morozov spearheaded a Kuzbass comeback, and three key serves from Ilya Yulmukhametov helped them snatch the first set 25:23.
Dynamo bounced back in the second set, led by Semyon Dmitriev and Roman Murashko, whose attacks kept the team in control. Kuzbass remained competitive, but faltered in the closing points, allowing Dynamo to even the score with another 25:23 set win.
In the third and fourth sets, Dynamo asserted dominance. Murashko, Osniel Mergarejo, and Fiodor Voronkov combined for relentless attacks, while the team’s solid defense and powerful serving sealed the final sets 26:24 and 25:20.
After the match, Kuzbass coach Sergey Trotskiy reflected, “We lacked experience and confidence in attack, but we fought well.” Murashko added, “It’s never easy to win in Kemerovo — the fans are amazing, but today we were stronger.”
