The second round of the Russian Women’s SuperLiga concluded in Moscow with Dynamo Moscow securing a strong 3–1 win over Dynamo Krasnodar, thanks to an outstanding blocking display. The Moscow team dominated at the net, tallying an impressive 23 blocks overall. Anastasiia Manzhosova led the charge with 10 blocks, while Angelina Lazareva and Irina Kapustina contributed 6 and 5 blocks, respectively.
Despite an early ankle injury to Anastasiya Chernova, the home side took the first set 25–19. Krasnodar bounced back in the second, taking advantage of Moscow’s mistakes to claim the set 25–22.
Moscow regained momentum in the third set, using strong defense and quick transitions to pull ahead and win 25–17. The fourth set was a nail-biter — Krasnodar held a 24–21 lead, but Moscow remained calm under pressure, saving three set points and ultimately clinching the set 27–25 to seal the match.
Dynamo Moscow’s head coach Rishat Gilyazutdinov praised his team’s resilience: “It was a tough game, but the players showed great character. Our serving and blocking were key to the victory.”
Krasnodar coach Alexey Babeshin recognized the challenge posed by their opponents: “We had an inconsistent performance. Moscow’s blocking disrupted our rhythm, especially when we failed to control simple plays.”
