The second round of Poland PlusLiga delivered thrilling volleyball action, featuring dominant performances, dramatic comebacks, and matches that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
PGE Projekt Warszawa set the tone for the weekend with a commanding 3–0 sweep of Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie (25:20, 25:23, 25:19). The capital side looked sharp and confident throughout, with Linus Weber leading the charge. Weber scored 17 points at an impressive 74% efficiency, earning MVP honors, while Bartosz Bednorz contributed 14. Despite strong efforts from Zawiercie’s Bartłomiej Bołądź (15) and Bartosz Kwolek (11), they struggled to breach Warsaw’s resilient block and defense.
In Lublin, fans were treated to a five-set thriller as Bogdanka LUK Lublin narrowly defeated ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle 3–2 (21:25, 25:23, 25:20, 23:25, 15:10). Kewin Sasak led Lublin with 20 points, while setter Marcin Komenda orchestrated the team’s attack to perfection, earning MVP honors. Despite Kamil Rychlicki’s impressive 27 points for ZAKSA, costly errors ultimately denied the defending champions a crucial victory.
The biggest upset came in Bełchatów, where Indykpol AZS Olsztyn staged a remarkable comeback to defeat PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów 3–2 (21:25, 25:18, 17:25, 25:19, 18:16).
